since today was Grant's birthday, i decided to cook him one of the best meals ever! took me half of the day but i got it done with the best smile in return from him and a full tummy =)so i decided to make him a spicy ahi sushi roll. here is the recipe which is super easy and fast to make. i really hope you folks enjoy it, and don't worry there was plenty of left overs so whoever is working with Grant tomorrow will surely enjoy it =)
4 cups rice (regular rice)
1 pound KTA's spicy ahi poke
1 avocado (sliced)
1 cucumber (seeded and sliced)
1 package of sushi rice seasoning (which you can get from longs)
nori sheets
cooked the 4 cups of rice, and once it is finish while it's nice and hot mix it with the package sushi rice seasoning mix well and place on the side. with the spicy ahi poke place it in a food processor and blend until it's small enough to your liking. if you don't have a food processor you can always cut it into smaller pieces. place nori on your sushi maker mat and spread the sushi rice on it make sure you don't add to much rice if not it wont be able to fold. then you place the spicy ahi, avocado, and cucumber almost in the middle and start rolling. make sure when your rolling you roll it tight so it doesn't come out or is loose when you cut it. slice the sushi into pieces and serve =)
