♥ Braised Garlic and Mushroom Chicken

4 pounds chicken breast with bone and skin
3 tablespoons oil (for frying)
1 package onion soup mix
1 cup water
1 (14 oz) can chicken broth
1 can tomato paste
1 container mushroom (sliced)
10 cloves garlic (roughly chopped)
salt and pepper
cornstarch and water mixture
pat chicken dry with paper towel and heavily season with salt and pepper. in a frying pan place oil and place chicken in pan and cook til it's golden brown on both sides. place in a 9x13 pan. meanwhile mix the rest of the ingredients and pour over chicken. cover with foil and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. skim off fat and mix in the cornstarch mixture while it is still hot to thicken the sauce.
