♥ Chicken Marsala

Grant and I went to Macaroni Grill and tried this Chicken with Marsala sauce I'm not too sure what the actual name is called of the dish but I decided that I would try to make it at home, and sure enough it was pretty close to it too =) and what better to go with pasta is a nice glass of red wine!

4 boneless skinless chicken breast
3 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 block butter (divided)
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup dry marsala wine
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
salt and pepper
box of your favorite pasta noodles

heavily salt and pepper the chicken breast, well just enough as a seasoning. in a sauce pan add butter and olive oil and cook the chicken breast. make sure it's cooked through and it is nice and golden brown on both sides. take chicken out and place it on a dish. cook your pasta, drain and cool. then in a sauce pan saute garlic in half of the butter covered for about 5 minutes then add wine and thyme. let it reduce until it's roughly 2 tablespoons of liquid remaining, then add the cream and let it simmer until it reduces by half. add the remaining butter, continue stirring until it's fully emulsified. add parmesan cheese. keep it warm until your ready to serve. plate your noodles, then cut your chicken into thin strips, then pour the marsala sauce over the noodles and top the pasta with the chicken.
